Getbhavcopy: Free NSE and BSE data downloader

Sir, for the last couple of months, vix data are not being downloaded. Following problem is being reported.

• Error The remote server returned an error: (501) Not Implemented.
• Error Error Deliverable Quantity(Open Interest) Equity data HTTP POST to generate csv file
• Error The remote server returned an error: (501) Not Implemented.
• Message Processing downloaded data
• Message ********* NSE Equity Bhavcopy file generated *********
• Message ********* Data download complete *********

Even I too get this error. I try deleting log file and temp folder sometimes it works. but most of the time i get this error.

is the issue with downloading VIX resolved or not yet? I am not able to download the VIX data from so many months. Let me know if there is any resolution for it.

I am downloading VIX data directly from NSE website. (http://www.nseindia.com/products/content/equities/indices/historical_vix.htm).

GBC is not dowloading vix and o/i data ....

NSE has been trying hard time and again to obstruct free data download. They want to keep it a paid facility. Rarely  one might have ever experienced problems with BSE download. Now this problem has been there for quite a long time with no solution at sight as the source code is also not available. Only VIX is giving problem.normal bhavcopy which is being downloaded is error free i presume. Its a .NET compatibility issue as per microsoft and has being occuring after NSE launched a new version of its website
