Hi All,

I am happy to see the efforts from Hemen to introduce Getbhavcopy. I really congratulate him.

Next I was wondering whether Metastock and Amibroker are only two technical analysis software compatible or is there any additional free technical analysis software, freeware which we can use with Getbhavcopy to create the desired results.

If I can find one, will definitely update. Request your comments.

Also please ignore my topic if it is already initiated by any other member.

Thanks.

Hi Prashant,

Metastock and Amibroker are not the only TA softwares that are compatible with Getbhavcopy. Well these were the two on which I could write the maximum documentation.

Now I am currently focusing on testing Getbhavcopy compatibility with other FREE TA softwares. FCharts is the first in the list and I have updated the Documentaton section with the information of how to use Getbhavcopy data with FCharts.

With this Getbhavcopy users have a complete solution to do technical analysis of stocks completly FREE.

Can the raw  .csv format files downloaded from NSE website be used with any TA analysis software?

No i dont think so you can use it directly. It needs some processing which Getbhavcopy does for you.

I think you can download fron NSE archives. They provide daily data in dbf  format. You will have to download data by dates though.

You need to enable header in the output for BSE. Then download the data and try to import it. To know more read the 'Getbhavcopy Options' page in the documentation section.
