Well dear Following could be soln. to your problem: Step 1 .File->Import Wizard Step 2. Pick the file name you want to import, Click - Next Step 3. In 'Define fields' Dialogue Box - Make Selections in the following order Col1 -> Ticker Col2 -> YMD Col3 -> Open Col4 -> High Col5 -> Low Col6 -> Close Col7 -> Volume Col8 -> OpenInt (For Col8 - Select 'More Columns' CheckBox) Other than these, do not change any thing and Click on the NEXT command button (at bottom). Step 4. In 'Additional settings' dialogue box select 'Add additional settings to ASCII importer defn.' check box. Give a Description and also give a format file name while keeping it's extension as .format.
Finally click on 'Finish' command button. That is all! From next time on - use Import ASCII from File Menu and provide your created file name format (in step 4) in 'Files of type' drop down list box. Does this Solve? | |
