Hi Hemen, I am unable to download NSE BSE data since last 2 days. It is giving me error message "Unable to open the NSE download directory". Please advise. I have downloaded the latest version 2.0.7 from website. | |

ashish k, You need to check your options. I think something is wrong there. Read the documentation page. | |

Hi Recently I am facing a new problem with V2.0.7 Version. The error is [Error Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\temp\BSEbhav.gbc']. If I create the above mentioned manually it executes one script and then it repets same error. Plus it is not downloding any data. Please Help.

I also had yhe same problem.I tried deleting the temp folder several times without much benefit.Then I redownloaded getbhavcopy and installed in a different folder. Now it is converting the temp data to correct eod format in the designated folder.But the log still shows the program not able to convert the temporary data. Any way the data is fine. Thank you | |

Dear Hemen Bhai,
Let me thank for this wonderful software you have developed, and continuously upgrading.
This excellent programme just does what is required, not a bit more or less.
Now coming to certain problems I am facing in the version 2.07.
Its definitely skipping downloads from NSE. I have not checked BSE, but it could be same from other complains in the forum.
I have tried all the options advised here, but still the problem persists.
I will ask you to download January 2009 equity data from NSE and see for yourself ... it just skips dates once and next time again its OK, and skips some other dates this time.
I am not sure if there is server trouble in NSE or its a glitch in the software.

I tried 4 times to download NSE equity data for 1 - 15 Jan 2009.
3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th were weekends. 8th was holiday.
There were 10 trading days ... 1 / 2 / 5 - 7 / 9 / 12 -15.
These are my results:
Trial 1: Skipped Jan 1
Trial 2: Skipped Jan 1 / 2 / 6 / 12
Trial 3: Skipped Jan 1 / 2 / 5 / 6 / 14 / 15

That is an error, skipping is something different in my opinion. Can you please confirm you are on version 2.0.7 ? If you are then search the forums for 'debugOn' option of Getbhavcopy. Delete the log, enable the extra debug information and then send that log to me. | |
