Getbhavcopy: Free NSE and BSE data downloader

I uploaded BSE data for Oct 2009 but  its showing scripts ID not name. Please let me know how can I resolve this issues.

how to get bse scripts name only scrip code is shown in data

free ka kaam aise hi hota hai..

the bhav copy of the bse is providing company name in csv format alongwith eod. however both nse and bse should come out with a unified format of scrip codes. they can take a leaf from american stock markets, which have provided easy symbols for all the stocks. here it is still in the nascent stage and they are least bothered about the small investors. manipulators, however are not concerned as "the more confusion the markets the more they can capitalize". whither small investor folks.

That is bse eod data does not use symbols like NSE for stocks. it uses numbers. I will write a blog post tomorw on how to update these numbers with their names.

problem solved for me.

i have downloaded bse eod file of old date from www.desitradermall.com and converted normally through downloader to my bse data folder

and import again data from the bse data folder and guess what now clicking on code u can see the names too

Infact, previously while downloading data from desitradermall.com, in the downloaded file itself it used to contain compnay names, but here it is not so.

Would you like to manage, because first searching the name of company from code (either nse/nse) and further  renaming it though MS is very much cumbursum,

Whne you taken a pain to reach upto such wonderful level, why not include this provision, and make all of us easy and free, please
