Dear Maxx & Asahai99ji Actually I had posted - for longs on ORCHIDCHEM, PRAJIND, POLARIS on 20.08.2009. Except from ORCHIDCHEM - remaining flat (not in loss ) others fired. POLARIS even when mkt was tanking during initial mkt hrs. Only, my post was at wrong place - i think. It was in Forum Home > Analysis, Strategy & Tips > Tips for 3rd WEEK of August thread. From now on I will post only in this thread. And share doubts/thoughts in all threads.

Dear YK I remember these scrips which you posted but could not connect the name. Better to keep such thrillers in one place. Easy to look up that way.

Nifty 360view for coming week (24-08-2009 to 28-08-2009) - as seen by me. Credit for Nifty Futs journy exactly at last hrs. from 4486.7 to 4556.9 on 21-08-2009 goes to the scheduled Mr.Bernarke speech. He is nightmare of Bears. As a result, Bears covered their shorts. Otherwise Nifty technically was perfectly poised to fall from the said levels. What happened to Dow? Nothing great - they also covered their shorts which especially got fuelled by unexpected home sales data.Look at the charts - how perfect close they have posted! It stands at 261.8% fib resistance zone. It's a zone where sentiment staggers even in super bull mkt. Now what's next for them? Some choppy news - which may make Dow to bump around 9500. Otherwise, see the volume -fresh buying is needed to get past this mark convincingly. What about China? They are talking pompously, but i'm concerned about the sentiments of mkt participants on job seeker/looser data and on doubt about Bull correction or it's a Bear Phase. Back home, i'm a bit concerned & cautious, as media after forcing nightmare of Monsoon factor on retailers, again has started talking bullish (bullshit). And see ours closing - NSE100, NSE500, NSENIFTY, BANKNIFTY, NSEIT - all were given close at just below the point from where momentum starts picking for next level. Anyway - for any decisive move Nifty Futs needs a Gap up opening Monday morning well above 4560 level and if sustains there studded by supportive global cues at these levels we can see fierce short covering and fresh buying for tgt upto 4620. As SGX Nifty already has posted 4600 mark. Otherwise, it will not do much except bouncing between 4500 to 4560 on Monday. On the other hand, checking scripts individually, each and every constituent of nifty states that they were not happy with the move given on last Friday. Bears are very angry, just needs a smallest of cause to thrash them. For NSENIFTY - if allowed to post it's close above 4600 level - i hope some fireworks in days to come. Now take some swingers: (Go with small quantily - they can perform in 3 to 6 trading session - take strict stop loss) Levels calculated for Monday 23.08.09 only. BAJAJHLDN @ 467.8 if closes above this mark (which is most likely) go long for tgt upto 507. BANCOINDI @ 35 if manages above 36.40 on closing basis go long upto 40 levels. ATLANTA @ 107.95 if manages above 110 on closing basis go long upto 120 levels. ANGAUTO @ 37.2 if manages above 38.20 on closing basis go long upto 41.50 mark. Due to expected volatility i generally resist myself from Intraday play in expiry weeks, however for Monday MPHASIS & LT @cmp and below are titillating me for longs.
PS : Views expressed are my personal. Comments/doubts/thoughts are welcome.
Happy trading. | |

Hey YK ... nice 2 see ur tips ...
Here are a couple of SELL signals to begin with (purely NIFTY) from me
HDIL>>> current price= 278.65, Target price=256, Stop loss=290, supp@250, Resistance@ 304....RSI is consolidating between 50 and 60, expecting correction from existing levels. MACD is showing downtrend.
TATASTEEL>>> current price= 444.95, Target Price= 405, Stop Loss= 464 supp@400 resistance@490....RSI is showing bear trend. MACD is also showing downtrend and likely to cross mean line from above.

That's the magic friends! To identify the Scripts which in a gap-up/down openings is going to provide a gradual and maximum move. Look at MPHASIS & LT - both provided me opportunity to get on at a very lucrative price in morning. (Ref - who were titillating me in my previous post). From then on i just went on counting profit points. LT up > 4.5% at peak. MPHASIS up > 8.5 % at peak. Now what else one would want in a day. By the way some of my Swingers have also responded well. I got on AMTEKAUTO , ATLANTA today. Bye. Rest after lunch.

Friends Negative Divergence Seen Today on Nifty! - 25.08.09 Friends this is how i see mkt today.
Today I'll look for Shorting(Intraday) on Nifty higher Levels :
AXISBANK @ cmp and Higher DLF @ cmp and Higher HEROHONDA @ cmp and Higher HINDALCO @ cmp and higher RANBAXY @ cmp & higher RELCAPITA @ cmp & higher SUZLON @ cmp & higher
Let us see what happens. Intraday trading is highly risky job. If anyone decides to follow these trades - do it very cautiously. Book profit very quickly. However, I've my own roule to Intraday which I'll post sometime later. Posted at 6.35am on 25.08.2009

Ha ... Ha... Ha... Should not have gone intraday when my Swingers are already charged and ready to fire. GREED KILLS Any way a welcome loss, after so many days - lessions reminded. Well, no problem. Only because did not control my GREED and EMOTION. Look at this - as i posted that this Aug expiry week i have no intention togo intraday because of the volatility. And what happend? I got in. A foolish decision. Look at my RANBAXY &SUZLON. Absolutely rubbish call. What mistake i did? - i procrastinated. Did not bother to look at IO data especially at expiray.Instead went with friends to loiter here and there on streets/markets. And next morning played with my money. Any way, in most of the scripts i booked profit early morning itself. Why, because I did not expect Niftyto fall beyond 4600 as it was technical as well as psychological level of support. The moment it went past this mark I smelt some foul play. How? Because scripts did not responded to the nifty move. As a result I booked profit at first. Next trade I took at the fag end when it started to struggle going past 4660levels. However personally I averaged a gain of 26 pts gain vs avg 12 pts loss. My other friends averaged better than me because of betting on call/put on nifty. Dear boarder - do not follow my trade untill aug expiry or know my rule of play. I'ii post later every day that how to proceed on each day. Boarders are welcome to share their thoughts.

Dear Friends Just was sitting and analysing right from the evening. What is see is that this Nifty happenings should stop sooner than later. Will watch tomorrow how nifty plays out and will prefer call/put route whose move looks convincing. By the way Big brothers yesterday bought - today sold mildly - next what ? They wont leave the game easly to be understood by small/common investor upon whom they are about to dump in such a high price. Big market experts are inviting LT investors everyday in media while showing day dreams of our growth story. Do you think so fast things are improving? And if so just calculate time and distance - when nifty is going to see 10000. Does a bull mkt. move so fast ? Does not it look like a bubble of Oct-07 to Jan-08? I think - we need to be alarmed in this Medium Term / Long Term game. Specially in tracing out when they are going to post that Head-Fake in Nifty chart. Tomorrow i see more of a range bond mkt. Not a trend decider. Where Ups and Lows are capped. As several of Nifty-mover scripts are promosing up & down moves with lower biase. By the way, while writing i see can a sudden sharp crude oil price drop despite mkt receiving feel-good news? Let me check. Thse are my personal views. Readrs are welcome for thoughts/doubts/counter views. Happy Trading.

Something like this I read recently. It was about the PE ratios rising to something like 20-22 just before dropping to normal. PE rations of the Nifty scrips I guess it said. Market experts the world over analyse things in a similar fashion. Always non-committal trying to be deilivering sermons about the impending moves and later covering themselves. And the disclaimers fly before that programme. I really find Buy or Sell funny on NDTV Profit. Sometimes the analysts answer a query to hold or sell 75 ACC and they rant about macroeconomics, monsoons, politics and global cues before telling one could hold or sell. Singapore Nifty is green and so has Nifty opened just now in the green.

Always take a contrarian view ... especially, from the Chudayan Mukherjees of the world ... they always are ambigous and mostly talk about macro-economics and vouch their belief in LONG TERM BULL MARKET OF iNDIA!... Chewtaps, anybody with pint sized brain can tell you about India's long term growth potential or for that matter about any emerging markets. The real analyst will analyse intermediate and short term trends on both fundamental as well as technical fronts. CNBC in US is a lot better in those terms, They have analysts who are more specific than here. Just check out BULLS EYE on cnbc tv 18 and u will be surprised how the panelists pick scrips at 11 am which are all on the day's highs!!!
As for markets today, am again taking the "staying on the sidelines" approach ... lets see if 4728 is broken... but the action should be on Friday once the expiry of the August series is over.
IBULLS had given the news about ABAN OFFSHORE getting that 600 billion $ deal on Monday itself, but i always take such news with a pinch of salt and I have missed an opportunity
Will NIFTY breach 4700 to begin with? will it happen today?

I was wondering what happened to ABAN. A high price scrip jumping 20% is something. I dont watch CNBC Indian edition and so far the business analysis that I have seen is a timepass only. They all have some panelists who talk in the lingo of market which is above many novice investors and doesnt make much sense to those who understand. They always maintain a center line like : long term outlook is bullish, economy is improving, IIP is up and UPA is back but the monsoon is bad and so anything is possible.
Its fun to see the artificial excitement of the lead presenters.

Whats with INFOSYS & TCS? ... I did not make out anything new in their charts as of yesterday... Is it just news driven? got an RSS feed that CLSA has upraded them to "BUY"

Both are up 5%. My present day favourite is Gann. I am using it alongwith swing highs and lows. Never used RMO. I remember seeing some RMO template with some six indicators with bullish bearish bands and arrows.

Dear Asahai99ji This Nifty PE ratio is the thing which is putting in informed traders in dilemma righ now. It is over blown. Normally from such level Nifty moves downwards. Take +3/-3 points more in current PE ratio. As far as ABAN is concerned - why people refused to hold after buying @1200 and selling below 400 ? How much has changed since then? I told many of my friends to hold that time - let it go to zero - no problem. I personally added some around 300. This script has been manipulated all the time. See it's previous zooms (add EDUCOMP with it). I always has pondered - what are the dynamics behind this company that price moves so erratically ? Why such no happens with RELIANCE , LT and etc who commands greater respect in trader/investor fraternity? Will RELIANCE fly 20 - 25 % up in a day if they win case pending against ADAG. Actually we (retailors) are fooled in such moves by Big players(FII/DII). I, personally, buy such scripts only when they are available in throw away prices.Otherwise, i make them my darling for one day.
